Base Ring Color
Base Ring Size
Shaft Tip Size

Sold as Individual pieces.

The aluminum ferrule is 1" tall and can be installed with or without a plastic base ring that can be turned down flush with the hosel of your club.

OD is .540" if installed without base ring, OD is .550"+ with base ring.

Base rings are available for this design in a variety of colors and in two sizes (0.3" and 0.1"). The rings fit into the base of the ferrules and can be turned down upon installation to make the ferrule to sit perfectly flush on the hosel like a traditional plastic ferrule.  If used without a base ring these ship with plastic spacers that fit underneath the titanium ferrule to fit your iron shaft (in either .355" or .370" size) but the quality of fit of the ferrule depends on the diameter of the hosel of your irons.

These ferrules can be removed and reinstalled (other than the base ring / spacer, that'll be deader than fried chicken after removal). If you plan to reuse the ferrule, make sure to not grab it during removal with something that will mar or scratch the metal like pliers. We recommend a heat gun and heavy duty heat resistant work gloves.

The 1” aluninjm ferrule weighs about 2g.  The optional plastic base ring weighs about 0.5g.   For comparison purposes, a standard (1.3”) plastic BB&F ferrule weights about 2.3g.  Approximately 2g of head weight equates to 1 swingweight point.  So these ferrules will add just a fraction of a swingweight point compared to a standard BB&F plastic ferrule.

FAQ's:

What are these made of?
Aluminum.
-Are they 3d printed?
No.  They are CNC machined.
-What’s that ring at the bottom?
These ferrules can be installed with or without a base ring.   The base ring is made of plastic and can be turned down like a traditional plastic ferrule so the ferrule sits perfectly flush with the hosel of the club.  A metal ferrule installed without a base ring cannot be turned down (unless you have serious metalworking skills) but they are designed to match the diameter of most club hosels (0.54”).
-Do I need to buy 10 at a time?
No.  You can buy as few as 1 ferrule of any design and mix and match your order however you see fit.
-How much do they weigh?   Will they change the swing weight of my clubs?
The 1” aluminum ferrule weighs about 2g.
-How do you install them?
The same way you install plastic ferrules - with epoxy when you install the shaft into the club head.
-Will they fit .370” shafts?
Yes.  We offer 2 sizes of base rings / inserts to fit either .355" or .370" shafts.  And if you mistakenly order the wrong size or your shafts are slightly over or under size, either size base ring can still work.  Just fill any extra space with epoxy on an oversized install or ream the plastic base ring/spacer out with a drill to add some space on an undersized install.
-Will they fit hybrids or fairway woods?
No.
-How do you remove them?
The same way you remove a shaft from a club head - heat it until the epoxy bond breaks and then pull it off.  If you plan to reuse the ferrule, make sure to not grab it with something that will mar or scratch the metal like pliers.  We recommend a heat gun and heavy duty heat resistant work gloves.
-Will they melt?
Not unless you really try to cook them.  The melting point of aluminum is over 1200 degrees F or 660 degrees C.   A propane torch can reach those temps but you would have to torch these things way beyond the burning point of the epoxy underneath them to actually melt them.  The base rings are plastic and will melt just like any plastic ferrule.  Our recommendation: use a heat gun and don’t use any more heat than you have to.
-Can they be reused?
Yes!   The base rings / spacer rings cannot but we sell extra / replacement base rings.  Just contact us to order and we'll hook you up.
-Do you take custom orders?
Yes!  If you supply your own artwork we will make you any design you’d like.  There is a one-time $50 setup fee per design and after that you can have as few or as many ferrules of that design as you’d like for $25 per ferrule in titanium or $10 per ferrule in aluminum.   If you’d like us to create the artwork for you we can do it but the price will be quoted depending on the details. Just contact us to start the conversation.
